To enhance patient education, increase product engagement, and drive sales for both Dryeye Rescue and individual optometry practices, we developed an interactive app for touchscreen digital displays integrated into the Dryeye Rescue kiosk system, located in over 400 optometry practices nationwide.
Beyond educating patients and promoting product sales, we also created a new monetization model by offering sponsorship and premium brand placement opportunities. This provided brands with the opportunity to gain nationwide exposure within optometry practices while also allowing practices to showcase their favorite products, brands, and in-house treatments. This dual-purpose approach not only strengthened product visibility but also empowered practices to curate their own kiosk experience based on their product allegiances and patient needs.
We designed the user interface, user experience, and content for the app, collaborating closely with the app developer to bring the vision to life. The app was built with a clean, intuitive design that guides patients through informative content, product highlights, and doctor recommendations.

- Online Content Customization for Doctors – Designed an online system where doctors can hand-select the content displayed in their practice, ensuring their kiosk aligns with their preferred treatments, brands, and patient care approach.
- Support & Informational Resources – Developed an FAQ and “Get to Know Your Display” page that answers common questions, along with a built-in support system for troubleshooting issues.
- Installation & Setup Videos – Produced informative 3D videos demonstrating how to properly set up and install the Dryeye Rescue display, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new practices.
By integrating a customizable, content-rich app into the Dryeye Rescue kiosks, we successfully enhanced patient education, strengthened product marketing, and increased sales for both Dryeye Rescue and individual practices. Additionally, we transformed the kiosk system into a powerful advertising platform, allowing brands to reach a national audience while enabling optometry practices to feature their favorite products, brands, and in-house treatments, creating a more personalized patient experience.
